Britain’s Got Talent 2024 winner announced

This year’s winner England has an incredible talent was announced as Amanda Holden’s Golden Buzzer group Sydnie Christmas took the crown.

Tonight’s episode (June 2) saw wildcard The Trickstars join singers Innocent Masuku, Sydnie Christmas, Mike Woodhams and Northants Sings Out; dancers Abigail and Afronitaaa; taekwondo group Ssaulabi Performance Troupe; magicians Jack Rhodes and Trixy; Dutch double act Haribow; and comedian Alex Mitchell during the live finale.

Sydnie was the final act to perform tonight, closing out this year’s competition with a rendition of “Over the Rainbow,” and received a standing ovation from the emotional judges.

Before the results were announced, judges struggled to guess the winner, hailing a successful run of brilliant talent.

“Impossible! The level was so high. Everyone did an incredible job. Honestly, I can’t call it that,” said Bruno Tonioli.

“Really, there were so many acts that would be worthy of winning tonight,” added Alesha Dixon. “That’s the gift we continued to give tonight. One of the strongest finals we’ve ever had.”

“Winning is important, but getting to the final and, above all, doing something big will really make the difference,” said Simon Cowell.

The results were announced in reverse order as shown below:

11th place – Haribow

10th place – Ssaulabi performance troupe

9th place – Northants sings

8th place – Alex Mitchell

7th place – Mike Woodhams

6th place -Trixy

5th place – The Trickstars

4th place – Innocent Masuku

The three remaining acts stood together when it was announced that Abigail and Afronitaaa were third place.

Ultimately, Sydnie Christmas was announced the winner, with Jack Rhodes coming in second place. She covered her face in disbelief as Ant and Dec congratulated her.

“I can’t believe the amount of love I’ve felt since the broadcast. I’m overwhelmed with love and it’s the most amazing thing,” Sydnie said.

“And I wish that one day every person in this room would feel what I one day feel with this love. It’s amazing, thank you so much!”
