Sacha Baron Cohen And Fisher Island we close a chapter.
The couple, married for 13 years, announced on April 5 that they had privately filed for divorce months ago.
“After a long tennis match that lasted more than twenty years, we are finally putting down our rackets. In 2023, we filed a joint application to end our marriage,” Sacha and Isla wrote in corresponding Instagram stories on 5 April, alongside a photo of the couple donning tennis gear. “We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working on this change.”
Isla, 48, and Sacha, 52, lived in the shadows with their three children, olive16, Elula13, and Montgomery9, in Australia – where Isla grew up – since 2020, and have reiterated their desire for privacy during the transition.
“We forever share our devotion and love our children,” their statement continued. “We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”
The duo first crossed paths early on after meeting at a party in Sydney, Australia, where Sacha later called the New York Times that he knew “instantly” that Isla was the one for him, adding: “I don’t know if she did.”
