Arizona Diamondbacks and launcher Brandon Pfaadt accepted a five -year contract extension on Friday, the team announced.
According to Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro, the agreement includes a club option of $ 21 million and a mutual option of $ 25 million.
Gambadoro adds that the agreement includes a clause without limited exchange from 2030 to 32 and includes five teams.
Robert Murray de Fandeded adds that the five -year agreement is worth $ 45 million.
The news one day occurs before PFAADT’s beginnings in 2025.
“Brandon is part of the group of players that we have that we want to obtain a certain certainty around what the future will look like,” said general manager Mike Hazen on Friday. “It was very important in terms of building a list and keeping this team as long as possible. We have the impression that these things are important to us and the fans to know that guys will be here.”
Pfaadt has just released a 2024 campaign where he went 11-10 with an MPM of 4.71 and a whip of 1,239 on 32 departures.
He was one of the NL starters to record at least 19 offers of at least six rounds and was tied in the fourth row of the walking rate (5.5).
The launcher made his MLB debut in 2023. He went 3-9 with an MPM of 5.72 and a whip of 1.406. He also became just the third recruit of D-Backs to start an eliminatory match and is the youngest starting from the playoffs in the history of Arizona.
“We are simply happy to be here longer and to extend this respect a little longer,” said PFAADT to journalists on Friday. “We loved every minute”
The agreement is still another evolution towards the D-Backs keeping their young intact nucleus.
Before the PFAADT agreement, the Arizona signed the Geraldo Perceomo stop stop at an agreement of $ 45 million over four years which includes a club option.
Justin Martinez’s lift also put a pen on paper this off -season, signing an agreement of $ 18 million over five years with the club last Friday.
The D-Backs are back in action against the Chicago Cubs. The first launch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. and can be heard on the Sports Application of Arizona, 98.7 and Arizonasports.com.
