Brandon Moreno sent the crowd of Mexico City to the happy house on Saturday at Arena CDMX – but it was not easy.
In the UFC on ESPN 64 Main Event, Moreno (24-8-2 MMA, 12-4-2 UFC) exceeded the old Challenger of the title UFC Steve Erceg (12-5 MMA, 3-4 UFC) on the way to a unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46).
For five laps, the fight was a close technical affair. While Moreno seemed to take over most exchanges, Erceg did a lot to potentially put doubt in the minds of the judges.
Moreno started hard, but Erceg caught up quickly. It has become essentially a tit-form from there. Although everyone is entitled to their opinions, there were only three of them that counted. The three cages judges awarded the victory in unanimous to unanimous – to the delight of the passionate crowd in Mexico City.

After the victory, Moreno called for a shot on the UFC 320, which was announced on Saturday September 13 in Guadalajara, Mexico, as an annual Noche UFC event.
Champion Alexandre Pantoja does not currently have a fight in books, but he was submitted to Kai Kara-France afterwards.
With victory, Moreno eliminates another high -level competitor. In November, he beat Amir Albazi with a unanimous decision and took two losing fights that lost.
Erceg continues to compete with the best contenders, but without the results he hopes. After an impressive performance in a defeat of the title against Pantoja, Erceg was quickly finished with punches of Kara-France. The defeat on Saturday was its third consequence.
