BP Chair Helge Lund to resign after the strategic resetting of the company’s commitments

British Oil Major BP said on Friday that its president Helge Lund would move, launching a succession process.

The company said that the candidate selected will work with Lund before playing the role. Lund should resign in 2026.

“Having fundamentally reset our strategy, BP is now the emphasis on carrying out the strategy
PACE, improving performance and increasing the value of shareholders, “Lund said in a statement.

“It’s a good time to start the process to find my successor and activate an ordered and seamless transfer,” he added.
