“You were all young and having fun and I was a lot more serious,” Daniels recalled during the virtual video chat. “So I would stay in my dressing room away from you while you were having fun on camera. And then they would say, ‘Mr. Daniels, we’re ready for you,’ and then I would walk out.”
He added: “You guys were having fun. And I took it very seriously. Honestly, I wish I was one of you.”
About ten years ago, the three actors made a few appearances in the role of their A boy meets the world spin-off characters A girl meets the world, which marked the last time Daniels acted on screen. Fishel reprized her lead role of Topanga alongside another original series alum Ben Savagewho played Cory Matthews, her high school sweetheart turned husband, Eric’s brother.
While the series ended its three seasons in 2017, the actress says her character will always remain “on the other side” of her heart.
“She is me and I am her,” Fishel told E! News in April 2023. “It’s something that, no matter what happens in my career, will always be a defining aspect of who I am. And then this character was such a cool person, how could you be luckier ?”
