Boxing fans are starting an extraordinary conspiracy theory by accusing Oleksandr Usyk of “using an inhaler” between rounds during his victory over Tyson Fury.

Boxing fans have raised suspicions that Oleksandr Usyk broke the rules during his victory against Tyson Fury.
The Ukrainian became the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the world in a quarter of a century, with a split decision victory over the Gypsy King.
However, some viewers started a conspiracy theory on social media that Usyk was “using an inhaler” between rounds.
Footage appeared to show Usyk putting something in his mouth while sitting in his corner.
However, other fans have argued that there was no wrongdoing on Usyk’s part, and there is no suggestion that Usyk used an inhaler other than that of a number of supporters of the boxing on social media.

Some boxing fans suggested that Usyk was taking an inhaler between rounds, while others argued that the Ukrainian was not breaking the rules and was just kissing a cross.
One fan argued that “Tyson Fury was cheated,” while another said “anyone noticed they gave what looked like an inhaler to Usyk in round 6/7?”
Another boxing fan also asked: “Did Usyk just take an inhaler in the corner?”
The latter comment, however, received a response suggesting that another angle showed Usyk kissing a religious cross.
A fifth person pointed out: “Looking very closely, I see a cross. I’ve never used an inhaler before, but wouldn’t that seem more obvious?
“Won’t we see Usyk inspiring and so on? I didn’t see these signs.
One fan mocked a video showing the moment, writing: “WOW. Usyk was captured by a fan using what looks like an inhaler during the undisputed heavyweight fight with Fury… whatever, it’s a cross.
In their corners, fighters are only allowed to use water and Vaseline – not even energy gels.
Some fans also raised the question of whether the images simply depicted Usyk taking a sip of water.
Usyk won by split decision with his ninth round against the Gypsy King, proving vital on the judges’ scorecards.

Usyk’s victory meant that the Gypsy King suffered a defeat for the first time in his career.
The moment that proved decisive came in the ninth round when an official knockdown was scored as Usyk pummeled the British heavyweight.
Fury fell back against the ropes and the bell saved him at the end of the right.
After the fight, Fury’s promoter said: “I believe the referee saved Tyson from a knockout and robbed him of the ninth round knockout, which should have happened.”
