Border agents arrest man wanted in Mexico for murder

A known murder suspect in Mexico was arrested last week by Border Patrol agents near El Paso, Texas.
The 30-year-old Mexican, whom authorities have not named, was arrested by US federal agents on Wednesday in Socorro, a town along the US side of the Rio Grande just 16 miles southeast of El Paso.
“Border Patrol agents in the El Paso sector work regularly with officials from the government of Mexico – this has been a long-standing partnership in our region and I am very proud to continue it,” said Anthony Good. , chief patrol officer of the El Paso sector. “We will continue to work with our Mexican counterparts to repatriate those wanted on both sides of the border.”
Border Patrol officials first learned the suspect was in San Elizario, a Texas town adjacent to Socorro.
The suspect was handed over to Mexican authorities on Wednesday afternoon at the Paso Del Norte International Bridge.
