Bongino: It’s only the land of the free until the big government says it’s not

Fox News host Dan Bongino explained how Americans’ privacy really matters if the government is monitoring their every move on Saturday’s “Unfiltered” show.

DAN BONGINO: What does living free mean? Yeah, we could do whatever we want. Go where you want, especially say what you want within the framework of the law. But are we really free if the government watches our every move while we do it? I mean, how important is our privacy? Damn important. But you’re probably saying, you know, watching what we’re doing doesn’t necessarily stop what we’re doing. If you’re a liberal, you probably think that, but could the government do it if it wanted to?

We’re in a really dangerous place where all the government needs is a reason to act now and your freedom will be gone just like that. So how did we get here? Have you ever noticed that whenever there is an emergency or a crisis, the big government comes rushing in with a big idea on how to make the crisis go away? You know, incredibly, this is nothing new. They’ve been doing this for a long time.
