A renowned Australian junior tennis coach has been accused of a number of children’s sexual offenses – including rape.
Ryan Keith Kebblewhite, 38, supervised talented young people during a tournament at the KDV Sport Center on the Gold Coast on Sunday, February 9 during his arrest.
He followed a detailed investigation into the allegations of multiple historical sexual offenses on the Gold Coast as well as Adelaide, according to News Corp.
“Police will allege that the man has offended several times against a child, known to him by involvement in a sports academy,” said a police spokesperson.
“Police has now charged a 38 -year -old man from Burleigh, with two counts each rape and indecent treatment of a child under the age of 16, and a chief of grooming under the age of 16 .
In a message sent to the parents this week, the director of the KDV Sport Tennis Academy, Ross Taylor, confirmed that “a continuous situation involving one of our staff members led to an employee.

Kebblewhite appeared before the Southport Court of First Instance where his case was adjourned until March 4
“A police investigation is currently underway and, as a precaution, the individual will be withdrawn from his duties while the case is fully investigated,” he said.
“As this case is the subject of an investigation, we are unable to share specific details for the moment until a complete investigation has been carried out.
“However, we want to emphasize that we take this situation very seriously and that the staff member is fully cooperative with the police.
“Your confidence and satisfaction are incredibly important for us, and we will keep you informed of relevant developments.
“We greatly appreciate your understanding and your continuous support during this process.”
The KDV Sports Center – is worth 20 million dollars – has ultra -modern installations for rising stars, including 20 tennis courts, a gymnasium and a fitness center, a swimming pool and a day spa.
Lleyton Hewitt’s son Cruz has often been formed at the Elite Tennis Academy in Carrara.
Kebblewhite, father of two children, has been employed as a KDV coach for several years.
He appeared before the Southport Court of First Instance on February 10 where his case was adjourned until March 4.
