Here’s what we’re watching ahead of the opening bell Monday.

On the earnings front, the reports are due after the online insurance marketplace EverQuote and executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles closed.

Markets to watch

– Boeing is down 3% before market on Monday following an engine failure on one of its 777 jets over the weekend. The company recommended that airlines take down some of the jets on Sunday for inspections.

– People’s United Financial is up sharply, up more than 10%, after the Wall Street Journal announced that M&T Bank was approaching a deal to buy its small rival for $ 7 billion.
