Body of man found on I-5 off-ramp in Midway District

MIDWAY DISTRICT —

The body of a man was found on a freeway ramp in the Midway District on Tuesday, California Highway Patrol officers said.

The body was found shortly after 5 p.m. on the Hancock Street on-ramp south of Interstate 5, Officer Danielle McComb said.

The identity of the deceased, described only as male, was not immediately available, McComb said.

The cause of death was unclear.

Officers said they were not investigating any vehicles as being involved.
