BLM Greater NY founder Hawk Newsome arrested while attending NYPD officer’s manslaughter hearing

Black Lives Matter leader Hawk Newsome in New York was arrested after a shocking video showed him dominating an NYPD cop while threatening to “beat the shit out” of him.

An enraged Newsome was handcuffed Tuesday after showing up in Bronx Criminal Court for the hearing of an NYPD sergeant accused of throwing a cooler and killing a man last summer, CBS reported.

“You think I’m afraid of you?” I’ll beat you up. You must be crazy, fucking crazy,” Newsome was filmed screaming as he unleashed a torrent of vile abuse at the cop.

“Do you see how much I’m picking on you? You’re a vagina… Fucking vagina.

It was not immediately clear what led to the filmed ordeal.

A number of police officers could be seen trying to defuse the situation, as seen in a clip posted on social media.

At one point, Newsome was filmed grabbing a female police officer’s hand and pushing her away after the officer apparently tried to tackle a woman who was with Newsome.

Newsome was slapped with three summonses for disorderly conduct following the filmed saga.

The dramatic ordeal unfolded after a hearing for New York Police Sgt. Erik Duran, who was charged with second-degree manslaughter in the August 2023 death of scooter-riding drug suspect Eric Duprey.

The cop, who has pleaded not guilty, was charged after throwing the cooler at Duprey as he fled a drug bust in the Bronx – hitting him in the head and causing him to crash.
