Blizzards, forest fires and thunderstorms are expected throughout the country on Wednesday: NPR

A widespread storm moves through the United States, bringing extreme conditions to various regions, including blizzards, forest fires and tornadoes.

The National Weather Service (NWS) warned that certain parts of Texas, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma and New Mexico run forest fires due to hot and dry conditions.

Conversely, in hot and humid areas, there is a risk of serious thunderstorms, hailstones, tornadoes and strong precipitation until Wednesday. This includes regions that extend from Louisiana and Arkansas to Carolines and further south, including Georgia and Florida.

In the west of the United States, the meteorological service expects significant precipitation and one to two feet of snow with high altitudes, such as the Sierra and Rocky mountain chains.

Blizzard warnings were issued to Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Minnesota until Wednesday. The NWS predicts six to 12 inches of snow from Iowa at Upper Michigan.

In the Midwest, temperatures should be higher than usual, and these hot conditions should move more in the east on Wednesday.
