Blake Lively responds to the release of Justin Baldoni’s video

Justin Baldoni’s team thinks they’ve released compelling evidence amid their numerous lawsuits involving Blake Lively, so let’s talk.

Yesterday, TMZ released a video that includes raw audio as the two filmed a slow dance scene intended for a flashback (we don’t have the rights to the video, but you can find it here).

The video shows the two men joking out of character (i.e. as Blake and Justin) because they know the audio won’t be used. At one point, Justin starts kissing Blake’s neck.

“Am I giving you a beard today?” » Justin asks as he goes to kiss her neck again. Blake responds, “I’m probably giving you a spray tan.”

“It smells good,” Justin replies, to which Blake replies, “Well, it’s not that; it’s my body makeup.” I would say that at this point, Blake seems uncomfortable.

It’s unclear if the footage appears in the final cut of the film, but the clip of them dancing appears in the trailer:

So how was this clip covered? TMZ wrote, “You don’t see Justin making any offensive comments or actions toward Blake. We’re told his team thinks this completely disproves Blake’s sexual harassment allegations.”

Deuxmoi, the celebrity gossip account with more than 2 million followers, shared footage from the shooting along with a statement that appears to come from Justin’s legal team: “The following videos…clearly refute the characterization of his behavior by Ms. Lively The scene in “The Question was designed to show the two actors falling in love and wanting to be close to each other. Both actors clearly behave well within the scene and with mutual respect and professionalism. “The top comments on the post heavily favor Justin.

The account also shares a clip from the storyline that reads: “LILY and Ryle are slow dancing at the bar. The patrons around them are drinking and watching sports. Completely in their own world.”

So, back to what Blake’s trial In fact said of this moment. It is said that Justin spoke to Blake as himself, as seen in the video. He then said, “He leaned forward and slowly dragged his lips from her ear down to her neck saying, ‘It smells so good.'”

In my opinion, the heart of the problem lies in the following sentence: “None of this was character-related, nor based on any dialogue in the script… Mr. Baldoni was caressing (Mrs.) Lively with his mouth in the mouth. ‘air.” in a way that had nothing to do with their roles. » The excerpt from the script shared by Justin’s team seems to corroborate this: there is no mention of physical contact beyond dancing.

Blake’s legal team told Deadline in a statement following the release of the footage: “Justin Baldoni and his attorney may hope that this latest case will preempt the damaging evidence against him, but the video itself is damning.”

“Every image in the broadcast footage corroborates, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described in paragraph 48 of her complaint. The video shows Mr. Baldoni repeatedly leaning toward Ms. Lively, attempting to kiss her, kiss her forehead, rubbing his face and mouth against her neck, brushing her lip with his thumb, caressing her, telling her how good she smells and speaking to her out of character. Every moment of this was improvised by Mr. Baldoni with. no discussion or consent in advance, and no intimacy coordinator present, Mr. Baldoni was not only Ms. Lively’s co-star, but also Ms. Lively’s director, studio head, and boss. they continued.

The statement further said of the excerpt: “Any woman who has been touched inappropriately in the workplace will recognize Ms. Lively’s discomfort. She will recognize her attempts at levity to try to deflect unwanted touching. “

“This matter is currently the subject of litigation in federal court. Releasing this video to the media, rather than presenting it as evidence in court, is another example of an unethical attempt to manipulate the public is also a continuation of their campaign of harassment and retaliation “While they focus on misleading media narratives, we focus on the legal process. We continue our efforts to demand that Mr. Baldoni and his associates answer in court, under oath, rather than through fabricated media stunts,” the statement concluded.

In short, maybe don’t immediately trust sources who are immediately perturbed about this.
