Blackimagic Design has unveiled the Blackmagic Camera for Android. Users of Samsung phones, Google phones, etc. can finally have access to the same application that Apple users have enjoyed for some time.

Blackmagic Camera for Android is supported on phones running Android 13 or later:

  • Samsung Galaxy S23, S23FE, S23+, S23 Ultra
  • Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra
  • Google Pixel 7, 7a, 7 Pro, 8, 8 Pro

Blackmagic Camera unleashes the power of your phone by adding Blackmagic’s digital camera controls and image processing. According to Blackmagic Design, you can create the same cinematic “look” as Hollywood feature films while benefiting from the same intuitive, user-friendly interface as Blackmagic Design cameras.

You can adjust settings such as frame rate, shutter angle, white balance and ISO, as well as record directly to Blackmagic Cloud in industry standard files up to 8K. Saving to Blackmagic Cloud Storage also allows you to collaborate on DaVinci Resolve projects with editors around the world simultaneously.
