Battlefield 6 had a huge opening week across Europe, surpassing the launch sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and EA Sports FC 26 (GSD data, combining physical and digital sales).

Its launch was four times bigger than Battlefield 5, according to TGB estimates.

There are a few caveats. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was included in Xbox Game Pass, meaning it’s likely that Call of Duty had a much higher player count than Battlefield 6. This GSD data is purely premium sales.

EA Sports FC 26 also had a staggered launch, with the Ultimate Edition launching before the Standard Edition, hence the football game’s weaker launch this year.

Still, it’s an impressive opening result for EA’s new shooter, which has sold seven million units worldwide, the company said.

EA Sports FC 26 moves to #2 following the successful launch of Battlefield. Sales of the game are down 48% week over week.

Sony’s Ghost of Yotei also drops a spot to number 3, with sales down 75% in its first week.

The other new game on the charts this week was Little Nightmares 3, which debuts at #4. Bandai Namco’s game had a strong launch, but sales are slightly below the launch of 2021’s Little Nightmares 2 (down about 14%, according to TGB estimates).

Last week’s Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 (physical data only) drops three places to No. 6 after a 65% sales drop, while Digimon Story: Time Stranger tumbles from No. 4 to No. 9 with a 72% sales drop.
