BJP postpones government anniversary programs from Saturday

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) postponed all its scheduled programs on Saturday related to the ninth anniversary of PM Modi’s government following the tragic train crash in Balasore of Odisha which has claimed 233 lives so far.

BJP Chairman JP Nadda tweeted to this effect and expressed his pain over the devastating accident.

“I am deeply saddened by the horrific train accident that occurred in Balasore, Odisha. Considering the horrific train accident, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has postponed all its programs across the country today. today,” Nadda said.

It is extremely painful and heartbreaking, he said, conveying his condolences to the families of the victims.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has planned to hold a host of programs across the country between May 30 and June 30 as the government completes nine years in power.

In one of India’s worst train disasters, at least 233 people were killed and more than 900 injured when three trains collided one after another in a gruesome sequence in Balasore district of Odisha on Friday.
