Hours after the AAP accused the BJP of trying to do away with it by misusing central investigating agencies, the BJP hit back on Tuesday, saying it was Arvind Kejriwal who was finish his own party with his “sins”.
The Enforcement Directorate summoned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on November 2 for questioning in a money laundering case linked to the alleged excise scam.
Following the summons, the AAP claimed that there were fears that the ED would arrest Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and that the BJP was trying to put an end to this by putting its top leaders behind bars .
BJP MP and former head of the party’s Delhi unit Manoj Tiwari claimed that Kejriwal himself was ending the AAP through his “sins”.
“Kejriwal faces the curse of mothers and sisters of Delhi whose families were destroyed when liquor shops were opened in every nook and corner of the city under the new liquor policy of the Kejriwal government,” he said.
He further claimed that Kejriwal was committed to fighting corruption, but now he himself was involved in it.
“The summoning of the ED for questioning is very significant as the Supreme Court, while denying bail to Manish Sisodia, observed that a money trail was established in the excise policy case,” a Tiwari said.
The BJP has demanded that Kejriwal resign as Delhi chief minister after bail was denied to his former deputy Manish Sisodia in connection with the alleged liquor policy scam.
