The whip was handed over by the BJP to its MPs a day after the party released the government agenda for the special session of Parliament that begins on September 18.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday issued a three-line poll to all party MPs in the Lok Sabha, asking them to be present during the special session of Parliament from September 18-22.

In the whip, the BJP said Lok Sabha MPs should be present in the House during the special parliamentary session to “discuss very important legislative issues and support the government’s stand”.

“All BJP Members of the Lok Sabha are hereby informed that certain very important legislative matters will be discussed and passed in the Lok Sabha from Monday, September 18 to Friday, September 22, 2023. All BJP Members of the Lok Sabha are therefore requested to be positively present in the House throughout the five days, i.e. from Monday September 18 to Friday September 22, 2023, and to support the government’s position,” the whip read.
