As well as building a new stadium, the club plans to build training facilities for all Birmingham City teams, as well as extensive commercial and community facilities for the surrounding community.

The idea is to have the new stadium and surrounding facilities built in time for the 2029/30 campaign, with the overall project costing between £2 billion and £3 billion.

But when Knighthead co-CEO and president Tom Wagner revealed the new design, fans were stunned.

“We have to go through planning, but I wanted to give you an idea of what we’re looking at,” he began.

After revealing the design, audience members could be heard gasping and clapping in awe.

Wagner then added, “I don’t know if we’re going to go for the spaceship look, but I think that gives you a good idea of our intention.”

“Perhaps the most important aspect is this huge promenade where people come in, because not everyone will be watching the game in the stadium because obviously all 62,000 seats are sold out,” he joked. “This is not a problem.

“But there is a lot of activity in the offices and all of this (designating the offices) will be built with the tenant in mind – we have already had incoming calls from people looking to collaborate with us on this.

“We want something that fits into the community and it is essential that it does not look like a blight on the Birmingham skyline and that it fits into the context of the city and, more importantly, the neighborhood .

“There’s a lot to do here, but it’s all in line with our broader goals. »
