The model Elizabeth Hurley and singer Billy Ray Cyrus surprised fans last weekend when they launched their relationship on social networks – but, according to Cyrus, their romance has been preparing for some time.
Appearing Thursday on “The Ty Bentli Show” by Apple Music Country, Cyrus remembers meeting Hurley on the film’s shoot in 2022 “Christmas in Paradise”, with Kelsey Grammer.
“The strangest part was the first, how much we laughed,” he explained, according to extracts from the interview which appeared in People and Entertainment this evening. “Second, I thought we were so different, but in a very strange way, we had much more in common than we had different.”
Although the country musician noted “there was a chemistry” between him and Hurley from the start, they only reconnected around two years later by SMS, when he lived a difficult period.
“I felt like,” Wow, can life become more difficult? ” Can it become more difficult? For me, at a point, it was like, you cannot get down more than lengthen on your back when life gives you a kick, “said Cyrus. “And right now … A friend has stretched out.”

Hurley’s text, he said, read in the sense of: “Hey, it seems that life is a little difficult and I just wanted you to know that I am in your corner; you have a friend in your corner.”
“So I text, I’m going to,” Who is it? ” And it’s like, “Elizabeth Hurley”, “he added. “Of all the people to contact me in this second that I may have needed the most … This friend who made me laugh.”
Although Cyrus did not enter into details on what his difficult period involved, the double winner of the Grammy and the ex-wife Finerose divorced last year after only seven months of marriage. According to all accounts, the split was very controversial.
And in January, Cyrus’ performance in one of President Donald Trump’s inaugural festivities was largely turned after seeing problems with the place audio system throughout the set. A few days later, Cyrus Trace’s son responded to the performance with an open letter on Instagram in which he urged his father to ask for help while referring to a long extinguished.
Elsewhere in his conversation with Bentli, Cyrus said that he and Hurley had “no expectations where we are going by here” for the moment. He also gave a cry to the son of Hurley, 21, Damian, who earlier this week gave his mother’s relationship his seal of approval on Instagram.
“It’s great that God brought them to my life when he did. It’s just a good thing,” said Cyrus. “It’s been a long time since I am so happy.”
