Billionaire Kochs Cheer Biden extends work permits for illegal aliens

The billionaire Koch brothers’ network of donor-class organizations applauds President Joe Biden’s automatic extension of work permits for cross-border commuters and illegal aliens.

This month, Biden’s United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) agency announced a rule that increases the automatic work permit extension period to 540 days.

As Robert Law of the Center for Immigration Studies notes, many of these work permits are held by border commuters and illegal aliens:

Many categories of work permits eligible for this automatic extension are reserved for foreigners in an irregular situation.including those who have simply filed an asylum claim that the government has not yet ruled on and those with TPS.

If last week’s press release is the first you’ve heard of this rule, it’s because The DHS released it without giving the American public any notice.in violation of the Administrative Procedure Act (APA). [Emphasis added]

Leaders of the Koch-funded LIBRE initiative applauded the announcement, calling the policy a “welcome solution” for companies that employ cross-border commuters and illegal aliens with work permits.

Their support for the policy comes as nearly 12 million Americans are still out of work, but all want full-time jobs with high wages and competitive benefits. Another four million Americans are underemployed, stuck in part-time jobs but want full-time work.

The Koch-funded organization, however, wants the Biden administration to go even further and extend the automatic extension to even more foreign nationals in American jobs.

“It is important to recognize that thousands of otherwise eligible people, including many spouses of guest workers, cannot yet qualify because their documents that allow them to qualify have also expired due to other backlogs within agency,” the executives wrote in a statement. .

Last month, as Breitbart News reported, the Koch Network launched a lobbying effort targeting Republicans and Democrats in the Senate to couple vague ‘border security’ promises with an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. registered and eligible for the former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

In March, the Koch Network joined the US Chamber of Commerce and the George W. Bush Institute in a lobbying effort to urge Senate Republicans to work with Senate Democrats on a sweeping amnesty plan that also increases legal immigration levels.
