Billie Eilish dumps Casey Wasserman for WME amid cheating scandal

Billie Eilish dumped agency mogul Casey Wasserman on Tuesday following her highly publicized extramarital affair scandal, TheWrap has learned.

Wasserman’s CEO and chairman of the LA28 Olympics committee previously represented the Oscar- and Grammy-winning superstar singer and her brother Finneas O’Connell. Wasserman’s controversy began after a Daily Mail article about his long-standing practice of sleeping with female employees broke earlier this month.

The singer was “devastated” by the allegations as she prepared to split, TheWrap previously reported. The split was finalized Tuesday after the singer performed in honor of the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles alongside the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snoop Dogg at the Paris Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday.

“While grateful to their former direct booking agents at Wasserman, Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell have chosen to bring film, television and music to the same agency, WME, moving forward,” a spokesperson for Eilish told TheWrap.

Eilish was represented by Wasserman Music following its 2021 acquisition of Paradigm Talent Agency’s North American live music representation division. Eilish and O’Connell have been represented by WME for film and television since January 2023.

Representatives for Wasserman and WME did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

In an August 1 Daily Mail article, Wasserman is described as a “serial cheater” who regularly sleeps with female employees. The allegations against the powerful businessman behind bands like Ed Sheeran and Coldplay date back nearly 20 years, when he was married to Laura Ziffren, from whom he is now estranged, and caring for his newborn daughter, the article said.

Among those named in his file are former secretary and chief of staff Patricia Feau (now vice president of host city relations for the LA28 Olympic Association), a human resources employee named Kristen Merrill and the former flight attendant on his private jet, Jenny Chandler, who is now his girlfriend.

Contacted by the Daily Mail, Feau denied any affair. Her $350,000 salary as vice president of host city relations for LA28 has drawn increased scrutiny.

The Daily Mail cited 11 sources in its report, including alleged mistresses, all of whom remained anonymous for “fear of social or legal consequences if they reported his infidelity.”

Billboard was the first to report Eilish’s move to WME.
