Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX and Shakira will be among the performers at the 67th annual Grammy Awards on February 2.
Details about this year’s Grammy ceremony have been scarce since the Recording Academy, the organization behind the awards show, announced last week that it would go ahead with the ceremony as planned, but would refocus to raise money for wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles.
The first group of artists confirms that there will be no shortage of celebrities for the show. Eilish, Carpenter, Roan and Charli XCX – the young women who dominated the pop charts in 2024 – are each up for awards in top categories this year. Three-time Grammy winner Shakira is nominated for best Latin pop album.
The show will also feature buzzy rapper Doechii; Benson Boone, whose alternative rock song “Beautiful Things” was one of last year’s biggest hits; and singer-songwriters Raye and Teddy Swims – each, like Carpenter and Roan, nominated for best new artist. The ceremony will be hosted for the fifth time by Trevor Noah.
For the music industry, the week leading up to the Grammys is usually a glittering mix of label parties, showcases and fifth-gear chatter. This year, the atmosphere is likely to be darker. Most parties were canceled and the academy announced a “condensed” schedule of events, reduced to its annual MusiCares Dinner, a fundraising effort for the Grammys’ flagship charity – this year it will honor to the Grateful Dead, which never won a competitive Grammy – and the invitation-only gala led by industrialist Don Clive Davis.
The show will air live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
