Bill Murrary opens with the incident that led to the production of “Being Mortal” in 2022 and almost ended his career. Speaking in a recent interview with the New York Times, the actor “SNL” who became an actor shared that there are not “too many days or weeks”, he will without thinking about what happened and “tried to make peace” since.
“I ended up being, in my opinion, toasted,” said Murray de The Fallout. “But someone with whom I worked, with whom I had lunch every day of the week – it was covid, we all wore masks, and we were all blocked in this single room while listening to this crazy scene. I don’t know what prompted me to do it. was funny. I wore a mask and gave her a kiss, and she wore a mask. It was not like I touch She, but it was right, I gave her a kiss through a mask. And she was not a stranger.
Murray does not blame the individual whom he kissed “through a mask” which ultimately subjected a complaint, but rather, as he says, “Human Rights or” H&R “of Disney Corporation”. Disney has Searchlight images, which produced the film and since the incident sparked protocols in their contracts, the question was refereeing, a fact that Murray unleashes.
“It turned out that there were pre-existing conditions and all this kind of thing. I am like, what? How was someone supposed to know something like that? There was no conversation, there was nothing,” said Murray. “There was no restoration of peace, nothing. He went to this crazy arbitration, which, if someone suggests you to go to arbitration: never do it. Never do it. Because you think it’s justice, and that is not the case.”
When this news announced for the first time, it was reported that Murray thought that the person he had kissed had flirted with him, but now recognizes that this is not the case. Despite this, he wants what he considers a “stupid” exchange has not been blown away by the powers.
“It was a great disappointment because I thought I knew someone, and I did not do it,” he said. “I certainly thought it was light. I thought it was funny. For me, it’s always funny, the idea you could give someone to someone with a mask. It’s always stupid. That’s all. ”
Murray blames his actions on a sense of playful that he tries to bring, in particular with regard to “being deadly”. The film was to be an adaptation of the non-fiction book by Atul Gawande, which focuses on death and end-of-life care. To balance the heaviness of this subject, Murray said he had tried to create a light space when the shooting did not occur.
“When you are dealing with this painful material all day, part of what my job has always been to keep the light of the mood,” Murray told NYT. “The work is not easy, and when you make a story about pain and misery, everyone can be painted and miserable, and you don’t want it. You mean:” Hey, we are always who we are. “”
“Being deadly” was to be the beginnings of director of Aziz Ansari, who was also to play alongside Murray, Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer. The film has been closed since 2022, Ansari choosing to make his debut with a self-written comedy entitled “Good Fortune” which presents Ansari, Rogen and Palmer, as well as Keanu Reeves.
Since the incident on “Being Mortal”, Murray has played in “The Friend” with Naomi Watts. The two were recently seen in an episode of “What What Happens Live” by Andy Cohen in which Murray, once again, gave his co-star which seems to be an unsolicited kiss. Look below.
