Bill Murray is thinking about a disturbing incident that took place on the set of one of his recent films.
THE Lost in the translation The actor discussed the allegation of an inappropriate fault which led production to interrupt the unfinished film of Aziz Ansari Be mortal And, later, an investigation.
“I don’t spend too many days or weeks without thinking about what happened Be mortal“Said Murray in a new interview with The New York Times.
The actor previously addressed the incident, which would have involved a non -consensual kiss on the set, shortly after his presence. “I did something that I thought I was funny, and it was not taken like that,” said Murray at CNBC in April 2022. The incident finally hung the film and prompted his studio, Searchlight, to conduct an investigation. “We are talking about and trying to make peace with each other,” he said about his accuser.
Now, however, Murray says that the benefits of the meeting were worse than expected. “I tried to make peace. I thought I was trying to make peace,” he told Times. “I ended up being, in my opinion, toasted. But someone with whom I worked, with which I had lunch several days of the week, and so on – it was cocovated, we all wore masks, and we were all blocked in this single room while listening to this crazy scene.”
Murray confirmed a previous report according to which he kissed a crew member on his mouth while he and the woman wore masks. “I don’t know what prompted me to do it. It was something I had done to someone else before, and I thought it was funny, and whenever it happened, it was funny,” he said. “I wore a mask, and I gave her a kiss, and she wore a mask. It was not like I touch She, but it was right, I gave him a kiss through a mask, through another mask, to another person. And she was not a stranger. “”
THE Ghosts The actor said that the incident “always disturbs” because “this film was arrested by everything they call human rights or” H&R “from Disney Corporation”, which, according to him, is “probably a little more strident” than others.
“It turned out that there were pre-existing conditions and all this kind of thing,” he said. “I say to myself:” What? How was someone supposed to know something like that? “There was no conversation, there was nothing.
Murray then detailed how the incident entered “this lunatic arbitration”, of which he did not speak much. “If someone suggests that you go to arbitration: don’t do it,” he said. “Never do it. Because you think it’s justice, and that is not the case.”

Later in the New York Times Interview, Murray said that the accusation of harassment by Geena Davis in the 1990s set Rapid change was “scandalous”, and he denied the rumor that he threw an ashtray at Richard Dreyfuss during the 1991 shooting And bob?
“This is not even true,” he said about Dreyfuss’s incident. “You can tell this story as much as you wish, but it will never be true. I fired a drink, but I threw it on the ceiling. We were in a town house on the set of And bob? And I didn’t shoot it on anyone. I threw him in a distant corner of the townhouse, assuming that he could break in contact with the ceiling and the walls, but I did not throw it to anyone. If I threw him on Dreyfuss, I would have struck him. “”

Murray admitted that he had had unpleasant interactions with some individuals in the past, but insisted that they are not representative of his usual behavior. “When someone has an episode like mine Be mortalThe world is trying to seek more evidence than this person is a monster. An absolute monster, “he said.” Well, I had interactions with hundreds of thousands of people out of 40, 50. Now you can find half a dozen. If you have really worked, you would probably find a few tens (bad). “”
He continued: “Most people, I have a good experience. Some people with whom you have spectacular experience. But my percentages are not different from yours.”
When asked if he thought he learned a lesson in Be mortal Define the experience, Murray replied: “I think yes. You can teach an old dog new things to an old dog.”
But the actor added that all the controversy was “a great disappointment” for him. “I thought I knew someone, and I didn’t do it,” he said. “I certainly thought it was light. I thought it was funny. For me, it is always funny, the idea that you could give someone to someone with a mask. It’s always stupid. That’s it.”
