Once you have installed the application or extension, “should I buy this?” The button appears when you land on a product page. Click on the button and Phia will travel the web to compare prices with new and used lists of the same and similar items before telling you if the price is high, low or typical.
I tried it by myself while heading to the product page of the Gracious PM bag of $ 1,950 of Louis Vuitton. Phia told me that it “was worth the price” and showed me options from Fashionphile and Ebay, from $ 1,453. He also provided a link to the Phia website, where I could compare it to similar – but cheaper – used bags on the Internet.
Phia says that he uses AI to analyze the “current market trends” and compare them to a database of more than 250 million second -hand goods of sites such as Realreal, collective cloak, Thredup, Stockx, Ebay and Poshmark.
There are several other applications, such as Capital One Shopping, Rakuten and Honey (which has since been accused of having scammed customers and creators who promote it), who are trying to save money by comparing prices and automatically applying the reduction codes. But it seems that Phia tries to stand out by focusing on fashion and also emphasizing savings.
