Bill Gates accused Elon Musk of having killed poor children when he announced Thursday that he would give his remaining fortune to his charity, Gates Foundation.
In a vast interview with the Financial Times, Gates approached the recent Musk Cups at the American Agency for International Development, the Federal Agency responsible for the distribution of foreign aid worldwide. The Ministry of Effectiveness of the Musk Government, known as DOGE, actually closed the agency in February.
Gates, 69, criticized the closing the agency, accusing musk of risking a resurgence of diseases such as measles, HIV and polio.
“The image of the richest man in the world killing the poorest children in the world is not pretty,” he told Financial Times.
“I would like him to enter and meet the children who were now infected with HIV because he cut this money,” Gates said about Musk.
The representatives of Musk and Dogi did not immediately return the requests for comments. Last week, Musk announced that he would go back from his role at Doge after Tesla, one of her many companies, reported a considerable drop in profit and income from the first quarter.
Gates, who co -founded Microsoft, also announced that he would abandon his remaining wealth at his non -profit foundation in the next two decades in the FT interview, an interview published in the New York Times and a long blog article on the Gate Foundation website, all published Thursday, the 25th anniversary of the Gate Foundation.
The billionaire philanthropic also said that the foundation would cease operations on December 31, 2045, earlier than expected.
