When Bill Belichick appeared on ABC “Good Morning America” last week to promote his new book, “The Art of Winning”, the most revealing moment of the interview had nothing to do with his career as a coach of the NFL or his new job at the head of the University of North Carolina in the Chapel Hill football program.
In fact, it was not at all Mr. Belichick or his book. It was the girlfriend of the 73 -year -old football coach.
“Many things have been done about your relationship with Jordon Hudson,” said the host, Michael Strahan, himself a former NFL star. “It drew a lot of attention.”
Then he stopped to note: “She is not there this morning.”
In the five months which followed a University of North Carolina, announced that he had hired Mr. Belichick as a new football coach, giving him a five -year contract which could be worth more than $ 50 million, Ms. Hudson was there, standing behind her man, but most often next to him – if not before.
She was at the UNC press conference by announcing the rental of Mr. Belichick, at Super Bowl in New Orleans, on the sidelines of the UNC and the Court’s football off-season during a UNC basketball match.
More specifically, she was on the set during an interview “CBS Sunday Morning” by Mr. Belichick, informing the journalist in a moment captured before the camera that he would not answer a question about how the two had met.
