Portland – After finishing the evening dress event, Jordon Hudson joined the range of competitors who were recalled on stage.
As she did all night, Hudson was confident for the judges. But before turning to leave the stage, she wink to the left to the left where one of the biggest coaches in NFL history was.
Bill Belichick, seated in the front row, kept a low profile while he attended the competition. But he made a nod to Hudson as she left the scene.
It was one of the rare times that the former coach of the New England patriots had a visible reaction during the preliminary competition held on Saturday at the Holiday Inn Portland-By.
Belichick slipped just before the event started taking a seat at the first row line to the right of the scene. The 73 -year -old coach wore a shirt, a tie and a dark jacket at the event.
Hudson, 24, represented her hometown of Hancock while she participated in the swimsuit and evening dress events.
For the swimsuit event, Hudson wore a revealing green two rooms. For the portion of evening dress, she wore an evening dress with a purple ankle without trigger with a long leg slit.
According to the hosts, the candidates were judged on “balance, presence on stage, confidence and general impression”.
The preliminaries ended after the completion of the evening dress event. At this point, the press present for the event was invited to leave to allow family and friends to spend a moment with candidates in privacy.
After that, the candidates had to organize a “pajama and pizza celebration”, according to the hosts.
Belichick does not stay long. The northern Carolina coach was taken through the room and out of the side door a few moments after the end of the event.
No results were announced after the preliminaries. The finals are scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m., how much a new Miss Maine USA will be crowned.
