Bill Belichick forced Tom Brady out of New England and their relationship deteriorated, but the Patriots legends will reunite for a comedy roast on Netflix

Tom Brady is going to be flamed, set on fire and roasted in a historic Netflix special.

Things became incredibly cold and tense between Bill Belichick and Brady during the GOAT’s final years as quarterback of the New England Patriots.

So how will it work when Belichick — fresh from a coaching job and recently hired as an NFL analyst by ESPN — roasts Brady, 46, on live streaming television around the world?

“Haha, no way?? This is going to be so good,” one fan tweeted.

“Yooo, LMAO. I wonder how it’s going to go?” » posted a second fan.

“Belichick, after hating the media for 20 years, is now part of it?” wrote a third fan. “A little money can go a long way.”

Belichick potentially igniting Brady and making on-air inside jokes about the best QB of all time becomes even more intriguing when remembering how their shared time with the Pats ended.

They won six Super Bowls together and created a dynasty that lasted two decades.

Brady wanted to stay with New England, but Belichick believed the aging QB was past his prime.

Add to that Belichick’s “do your job” intensity, and it became clear that no love was lost between the two as Brady moved on and won a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay.

“Me and Coach Belichick did what we loved and competed together for 20 years,” Brady said on The Dynasty. “But I wasn’t going to sign another contract (in New England), even if I wanted to play until I was 50. Given the way things had gone, I wasn’t going to sign for more .”

Other Patriots supported Brady’s sentiments.

Belichick went out of his way to treat everyone equally, which meant Brady sometimes wasn’t treated like the best QB in NFL history.

“Tom and I had several discussions about the way Bill treated him,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft said. “Tommy is very sensitive. He was always looking for Bill’s approval, almost in a father-son way. And it’s not Bill’s style to give that.”

The irony is that Brady excelled without Belichick, giving the Buccaneers their first Super Bowl title while players around the league rallied around him.

Belichick has fallen apart without Brady – and is now ready to participate in a celebrity roast centered on the greatness of his former New England QB.

Netflix’s “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady” will feature a jam-packed lineup that’s expected to include Brady’s former teammates and other notable sports figures.

Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Randy Moss, Drew Bledsoe and Belichick are expected to appear, while Ben Affleck could make an appearance.

Gronk will surely criticize Brady the Gronk way.

But everything Belichick says about Brady will be closely scrutinized — and praised if Belichick is as good a roaster as he was an NFL head coach.

The Brady Roast will air at 1am BST on Monday May 6.

According to Netflix, it will be the first ever raunchy live-action, never-before-seen TV show.

Actor/comedian Kevin Hart will host the event at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

“I’m not roastable. Let’s go!” Brady boldly declared in a trailer.

His former New England head coach might have a few things to say about that.
