Big Tech Mafia Spotted In Church With Trump As New Era Of Oligarchy Begins

American oligarchs like Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and Apple CEO Tim Cook were all spotted sitting behind Donald Trump’s family at church Monday morning, just hours before the inauguration of the new president. And it reminds us that the United States is about to enter a frightening new era that begins when Trump is sworn in as the 47th president at noon ET.

Trump visited St. John’s Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C., on Monday, a tradition that has been observed by former presidents like Barack Obama and George W. Bush. But those presidents didn’t have business leaders who could benefit from having the new administration fill the benches.

Photographer Anna Moneymaker captured images from inside the church, and it’s a who’s who of the richest and most powerful people in the tech world, including guys like Zuckerberg, Bezos and Cook, as well as Google CEO Sundar Pichai and podcaster Joe Rogan.

The Big Tech Mafia seemed largely seated in the same row, while Bezos’ partner Lauren Sánchez was also in the row alongside former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, according to the Washington Post.

Elon Musk was a notable absence from the church, at least according to the photos taken by the pool photographer. Musk and other Big Tech CEOs all have huge contracts with the US government through their respective companies and could benefit from their proximity to Trump. Thirteen billionaires are expected to take on official duties in the Trump White House.

CNBC commentators defended the presence of oligarchs in church. Chris Sununu, former governor of New Hampshire, was asked about the presence of these business leaders and he seemed excited by the visual Monday, saying that “it wasn’t bureaucrats” who were in the pews. The idea, of course, is that CEOs will be better able to run the country.

Podcaster Joe Rogan was also at the church near the new president, captured in a photo giving Trump a rather strange look. Rupert Murdoch, the 93-year-old media mogul who owns many conservative media outlets around the world, was also spotted. Trump sat at the church next to new Vice President JD Vance and his wife, new second lady Usha Vance. Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner sat in the row behind the president.

Trump has promised to take a series of executive actions upon taking office, including pardons for the insurrectionists who stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. But there have been conflicting reports about whether Trump would pardon the most violent putschists.

President Joe Biden on Monday morning issued his own preemptive pardon to the likes of Gen. Mark Milley and Dr. Anthony Fauci, people Trump has suggested he will target in retaliation when he takes power. In fact, Trump has previously suggested that Milley be executed for treason. Americans will therefore know soon enough if these pardons are worth the paper they are written on.

Trump also launched his own cryptocurrency Friday night, arguably one of the most dangerous actions he could have taken before officially entering the White House, given its ability to shift wealth from the masses to Trump personally. Crypto also risks destabilizing the global economy, as people around the world bet that anything associated with the most powerful person in the world is a safe bet.

The $TRUMP coin quickly became one of the most traded coins over the weekend, accounting for nearly 90% of Trump’s net worth, according to Axios. According to USA Today, 80% of the coins are collectively owned by CIC Digital LLC, an affiliate of the Trump Organization, and Fight Fight Fight LLC, also owned by Trump’s company. Previously, it was illegal to simply print your own money.

If you’re American, things are about to change very quickly in this country. And all we can do is try to protect the vulnerable in our communities as best we can while Trump and his henchmen pillage the country.
