Big Oil executive: Biden’s ‘failure to plan’ now a ‘significant emergency’

During “Cavuto Live” on Saturday, US Oil and Gas Association President Tim Stewart torched the president’s “failure of leadership” to resolve record gas prices, and called Biden’s ironic decision that would reverse his administration’s own energy policies.

TIM STEWART: We are now at the point where the Biden administration’s failure to plan is now a significant emergency. It’s a colossal failure of leadership, and it won’t be solved by accusing millions of Americans who work in the gas industry of being unpatriotic. They try to win on both counts.

I mean, if we go through the White House calendar this week, on Tuesday the White House called on Big Tech to censor any unflattering information on social media regarding renewable energy. On Wednesday, they accuse the the oil and gas industry price gouging and not doing enough when we are at 95% of our refining capacity. But on Thursday, they rescheduled the additional rental. And on Friday we get to the point where they promise gas cards for everyone.

The ironic part of this particular interaction with the White House this week, was the President threatened to invoke emergency powers to increase production and production. The irony is that these emergency powers are said to be essentially reversing their own energy policy decisions over the past 18 months. It’s amazing that if that’s what it takes to do it, we will. We will follow this road.
