BISMARCK, N.D. — President Joe Biden has won the Democratic presidential primary in North Dakota.
The state party announced the results of the mostly postal primary on Saturday. The party began distributing ballots in February to voters who requested them.
Biden’s victory was all but assured, even though seven other candidates were on the primary ballot.
Former President Donald Trump won the North Dakota Republican Party presidential caucuses on March 4, fielding all 29 delegates.
Biden and Trump have already secured enough delegates for their parties’ nominations, lining up the first presidential rematch since 1956.
Senator Bernie Sanders won the North Dakota Democratic caucuses in 2016 and 2020.
