The Biden administration is facing a backlash over the rollout of COVID tests made available to all American households, with critics saying its efforts are too little, too late.

The White House announced on Friday that 500 million rapid home tests will be available to order online for free starting Jan. 19. The two requirements when ordering are a name and residential mailing address. Up to four tests can be ordered per household on a government website.

However, the White House’s admission of when Americans might actually receive the COVID tests is drawing attention.

“Tests will typically be mailed out within 7-12 days of ordering and delivered first class via the US Postal Service,” the White House tweeted.

Critics have scoffed at the Biden administration’s timeline for COVID testing, as some medical experts have predicted the wave of omicron cases will subside by the end of the month.

“‘7 to 12 days after request’ is a very long time to ship these tests,” CNN correspondent Abby Phillip said.

“It’s great, by the time people take their tests, the Omicron wave will be over,” tweeted Charles Fain Lehman, editor of the City Journal.

“Think you have COVID? The geniuses of the Biden administration will test you once you’ve already recovered!” said RNC President Ronna McDaniel.

WHITE HOUSE REFUSED OCTOBER PLAN TO BOOST COVID TESTING: REPORT

“Ordering a covid test that arrives after your symptoms are gone is nothing but perfection,” wrote Stephen L. Miller, editor of The Spectator.

“I mean, just let Amazon deliver whatever I ask of them and they’ll deliver within 48 hours,” suggested Cook Political Report editor Jessica Taylor.

“What is the opposite of Operation Warp Speed?” said Washington Free Beacon reporter Chuck Ross.

“So even assuming this website doesn’t have an Obamacare-style crash during the rollout, the tests should arrive at your doorstep just in time for the omicron wave to be over already,” said Dan McLaughlin, editor. from National Review.
