President Biden addressed his administration’s push for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza in a speech to Morehouse College graduates on Sunday, following nationwide protests on fiery college campuses by the war between Israel and Gaza.
“What is happening in Gaza and Israel is heartbreaking,” Biden said, adding that he was working “around the clock” to help broker a deal to free Israeli hostages and allow the arrival of much-needed humanitarian aid to Gaza, as well as plans to rebuild the Palestinian enclave once the war ends.
