President Biden launched a few parting attacks at the press during a public event at the White House on Sunday evening.
Lucas Tomlinson of Fox News reported that after signing the Social Security Fairness Act, Biden took a few questions from the crowd, leading the president to target President-elect Donald Trump.
“Do you still believe he poses a threat to democracy?” » asked a journalist.
“I think what he did was a real threat to democracy,” Biden responded.

After responding to the allegation that Trump was considering ending birthright, Biden changed the subject to attack reporters.
“I may be the oldest president, but I know more world leaders than any of you have ever met in your entire damn life!” » Biden said.
Some X users were quick to blast the comment.
“He’s fine guys,” joked reporter Salena Zito.
Conservative broadcaster Steve Guest commented: “What a bitter person. »
“That’s Washington credibility in a nutshell. Politicians become ‘qualified’ simply by existing. It doesn’t matter that Biden is an abject failure and the worst foreign policy figure in American history. You see, he knows a lot of people, and that’s all that matters,” RedState writer Bonchie wrote.
Conservative CNN commentator Scott Jennings joked: “The most gracious, decent, devoutly Catholic president we’ve ever had.” »
Biden has lashed out at the press throughout his term, sometimes launching aggressive comments against journalists themselves.
In November, Biden mocked a reporter asking if he could broker a hostage deal between Hamas and Israel before leaving office.
“President Biden, do you think we can reach a hostage deal by the end of your term?” » asked a correspondent for Israel’s Channel 13.
Biden’s habit of lashing out at reporters continues after responding to a ‘stupid’ question from NY POST reporter.
Biden responded by saying, “Do you think you can avoid getting hit in the head by a camera behind you?”
In 2022, he went so far as to call Fox News’ Peter Doocy a “stupid son of a bitch” after asking whether inflation would be considered a political liability ahead of the midterm elections. Doocy said Biden called him later to “clear the air,” saying the comments were “nothing personal.”
