It is not a hocus-pocus: Bette Midler is the last celebrity to sell his Tesla.
The veteran star of the scene and the screen has become the last public figure to unload its Tesla on the policy and support of CEO Elon Musk to the administration of President Donald Trump.
“What a joyful day! I sold my (Gulp) Tesla! I no longer have to lead a symbol of racism, greed and ignorance! Life is suddenly much better !!” Midler wrote in a recent Instagram post.
Midler appeared in Broadway shows like “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Hello, Dolly!” as well as films such as “Hocus Pocus” and “The Rose”. She is also a free liberal activist and has already criticized Musk, the richest man in the world and his role in the Trump administration.
Midler joins a growing list of other public figures who have sold their teslas on Musk’s policy, including actor Jason Bateman, singer Sheryl Crow and Senator Mark Kelly.
The representatives of Midler and Tesla did not immediately respond to requests for comments.
Musk approved Trump for the presidency during the summer and channeled more than a quarter of a billion dollars to the efforts to eliminate it as well as republican candidates in other breeds. It was then a facto face of Doge, which ordered the dismissals of tens of thousands of federal workers to try to reduce the federal government and reduce federal spending.
Tesla Takedown Protests have emerged across the country by demonstrators criticizing Musk’s participation in Doge and the Trump administration. Tesla’s shares fell by around 50% of its summit of all time reached in December, and some shareholders have become frustrated by Musk’s participation in government affairs.
Politico reported last week that Trump had said to his inner circle that Musk would go back from his unofficial roles to the White House in the coming weeks. Vice-president JD Vance later said that Musk would remain a “friend and advisor” to Trump even after leaving Doge.
