Best new mage sorceries from Shadow Of The Erdtree, with location map

While there are many viable builds in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree, I haven’t disabled my original, an INT-based sorcery mage. I was a little disappointed that it took me SO It took me a while to find significant new spell additions for my class, but eventually they started to pile up. And now my spell list is at least half new.

Some of them can be found a little early, others less so. And three of them are guarded by bosses, two of whom are very difficult. Here’s what they are and how to find them. Some spoilers will follow.

1. Glittering Blades Trio – What’s better than a Glintblade? Three. Very, very low spell cost, surprisingly high damage with a quick cast, and more power on a Glintstone staff. I’ve used it a lot in 1v1 Mausoleum or Invader encounters because it always rolls or staggers everyone constantly. It’s even better when you’re summoned.

You’ll find him at Ensis Castle, in front of the church where you fight Moonrithyll. You go down the path to the left, find a ladder, go up into the church and find it on a roof with a dead body.

2. The twin moons of Rellana – If you fought Rellana, one of the toughest early bosses in the game, you were probably killed by her Pulse Moon Bomb slam. Well, how would you like to use it yourself, joining the moons you already have?

Obviously, you get it by killing Rellana, then trading her Memory for it. This is especially effective on your Mimic Tear as they are always in close enough range to enemies to execute the move.

3. Stone Blades – Now we come a little later in the game. This is the fight against Commander Gaius and his giant armored boar behind the Shadow Keep, and you will exchange his memory for this. It’s one of the hardest fights I’ve had so far. The spell throws a jagged stone from the ground, and if you hold it down, it vibrates and expands twice more.

You reach Gaius by going around the back of the dungeon passing through the flooded church area and exiting on the ground floor after finding an elevator. He’s in the backfield, and if you kill him you can exit to the left and roll all the way to the north of the map and also find five Scadutree Shards at once.

4. Gravity missile – This fires an orb that grabs enemies and pulls them in before exploding, which is especially useful for groups, and another gravity spell to add to your arsenal.

You need to access the giant northeast part of the map by performing the “O Mother” emote from the statue to the right of the Site of Grace boar boss. Next, go outside and find a crater where you will fight a familiar-looking boss, Fallingstar Beast. I don’t think it’s hard. No memories, he’ll just give you the spell.

5. The disappearance of Miriam – This cloaks you in a “haze of reflections”, so it’s less offensive than most, but we mages also need our defense, and this one is really good (see above) .

This one is simple, you just need to buy it for 10,000 runes from Count Ymir at Manus Metyr Cathedral on the map.

There are others, including frosty rings of light found near Charro’s hidden tomb further south, although this also requires a decent amount of faith, which I don’t currently have. And if you have any more to find, let me know.
