Bertone wins once again in Prague

The French Oriane Bertone is again climbed on the top of the podium of the Boulder World Cup from IFSC in Prague, in Cchea with its performance in the semi-finals, securing the medal.

Due to the “winding weather conditions and the inability to ensure the safety of athletes and spectators”, the local organizing committee alongside IFSC representatives made the difficult decision to cancel the women’s final round, which means that the semi-final classification has been confirmed as the whole.

This meant that Bertone won the second gold in his career, and both in the same city. Bertone also won gold in 2023 during Prague’s start on the World Cup circuit.

The French teammate Agathe Calliet also went on the silver podium for his very first World Cup medal after finishing second in the semi-finals.

At the third point and also obtained its first World Cup medal, the melody of Japan Sekikawa which took bronze.

Unfortunately, not having the possibility of participating in the final round, Emma Edwards of Great Britain and the Geila Macila Macila de Martín de Great Britain have always succeeded in a personal record by finishing in the top eight and making the final.

Edwards finished in fifth and Macià Martín was eighth.

The IFSC Boulder World Cup goes to Bern, in Switzerland next week for the fifth of the six laps in the 2025 series.
