Ben Cousins leaves fans perplexed after revealing how JAIL made him fall in love with classic Australian TV series: ‘When I was locked up, I didn’t miss an episode’

Ben Cousins left The Front Bar panel in stitches on Wednesday after revealing why Home and Away is his favorite TV show.
Football legend Cousins, 45, was a special guest on the show this week where he discussed his incredible career and how he is the happiest he has ever been.
Cousins’ problems off the football field are well documented, having been jailed six times in 13 years, but the teetotal legend didn’t have a drink handy on the show – where guests usually join the hosts to drink beer.
And in a rapid-fire series of questions, Cousins revealed that one of his prison stints helped form his love of classic Australian soap Home and Away.
When asked what his favorite TV show was, Cousins replied, “I’ve been watching Home and Away for a long time. When I was locked up, I didn’t miss an episode.

His revelation left the Front Bar panel angry on Wednesday’s show.
This response left the panel and audience in suspense, with Cousins just as happy to poke fun at himself.
The 45-year-old has had a fantastic 2024, taking on a news presenter role on Channel 7 in Western Australia, heading up the sports section of the program.
He is also the star rookie of this year’s Dancing With The Stars.
And reflecting on how life is going right now, Cousins couldn’t be happier.
“As hard as it is to read the news, it’s a lot easier than being the news,” he joked.
“(I’m) doing really well actually. I wish it didn’t take so long and he had to run his course like he did, but it’s nice to work and be busy, to have real ambition in return and to ‘being in touch with friends, family and even within a community. level.
“Life has never been better to be honest.”
He admitted, however, that training for the dance competition was far from easy.

“It’s been so hard, it’s so different from anything I’ve ever done before,” he said.
“It was difficult to understand and it was just difficult in terms of the hours it took to do the show.
“That said, I missed the life of a professional athlete. I didn’t move like one, but I lived my lifestyle like one.
Cousins also revealed that his favorite movie was One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and that Geelong legend Cameron Ling is the toughest opponent he has ever faced.
