Warning: major spoilers in advance for “Love is blind“Season eight.
“Love is blind” has resulted in relatively few marriages, but sometimes couples try to continue their relationships even after saying “I don’t do it” at the altar. Sara and Ben were they one of them?
The eight season presented a casting of singles from the Twin Cities region, and of this group, five pairs have joined and had their trip.
One of these couples was Ben, a 28 -year -old account manager, and Sara, a 29 -year -old oncology nurse, who got engaged despite moteful political and ideological discussions in the pods. In the end, however, Sara could not exceed her main differences and said no to the altar.
Of course, they would not be the only faulty commitment of “Love is Blind” to try to go out together after the shooting. Here is what we know if they have come together.
Ben and Sara struck and talked about politics in the pods
In episode two, Ben and Sara got linked to the pods on a love of food, and the fact that their two fathers make an excellent steak. Their discussion finally evolved towards deeper subjects like faith: although Ben is Christian, Sara is not particularly religious and worries about the discrimination against her sister, who is gay. In turn, Ben reassured him that he was comfortable with LGBTQ + people and does not believe that queerness is a sin.
During an appointment in episode four, Ben told Sara that he fell in love with her. Sara thanked her, but wanted to talk more about their political convictions. She became more involved in politics after the election of Donald Trump in 2016 and the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis in 2020.
Well, however, said that he had not voted in the previous elections and that he has no opinion on the Black Lives Matter movement. Sara frankly told her that she did not like her answers.
“I’m going to tell you, fundamental human rights, equality,” she told him. “I need someone to be on the same wavelength with me. I have the impression that it says a lot about who you are as a person and morality and values and, you know, how you think of others.”
In episode five, the couple continued to deepen their relationship. Sara, however, still had reservations about Ben’s social beliefs and policy. Ben reassured him that he intended to grow and learn, and said his beliefs align with his.
Ben proposed to Sara in episode five, and she said yes. The pair finally met face to face later in this episode, and was one of the five producers of couples selected to follow the escapacity of couples in Honduras.

Sara’s doubts about their compatibility increased once they were back in Minneapolis
Ben and Sara had a good time during the engagement trip and met any major drama. They even talked about their physically compatible compatibility. Unfortunately, once they returned to the real world, things have taken a turn.
While their parents approved the match and seemed relatively agree with the speed of their commitment, Sara was still suspended from Ben’s religion. As a dedicated Christian, he regularly frequented the Church. Sara was ready to try and attended a service with him, but she was lukewarm on it. When Ben did not know the position of his church on LGBTQ +problems, Sara looked for a sermon on this subject and did not like the traditional and regressive messaging it found.
Although Ben said that he did not agree with the sermon and said that he would be open to exploring other more progressive churches with her, Sara remained uncertain. Sara’s sister and her sister’s partner also met Ben and asked her about her convictions, leaving Sara to feel even more uncertain.
“I warn you as a sister, it’s not real right now,” said Sara’s sister after meeting Ben.
Sara also discovered a viral tiktok that Ben said about her, where a woman alluded to a competitor of the eight season “Love is blind” before badly treated when she went out. Well, for his part, admitted that it was probably true, but that it had happened so long ago that he had no memory and had not thought of disclosing him to Sara.
Sara said no to the altar, and did not seem eager to go out with Ben after the shooting
Ben expressed mainly no doubt of wanting to marry Sara, and reached the wedding day as certain as he would say yes. Sara, on the other hand, was plagued by a doubt and even talked about their differences while preparing in the nuptial suite.
In the end, she said no to the altar.
“Well, I love you so much. But I always wanted a partner to be on the same wavelength, and therefore today I can’t,” Sara told Ben. “I’m sorry but I don’t want it to be misunderstood. I always love you and everything about you is incredible and I care so much about you.”
Ben took him on the chin and seemed imperturbable, quickly replying that he understood, always loved him and wanted to stay together to develop their relationship. Sara, clearly surprised, demonstrated, telling her that they would talk about it later.

After the ceremony, Ben’s friends comforted her and they all said they were surprised by the result. Then they prayed for healing for Ben and Sara. Meanwhile, Sara was debated with her mother and sister in the van, telling them her unsatisfactory conversations with Ben on LGBTQ + problems and black life. She also told the cameras that she thought there was no “curiosity” from Ben to explore and extend her state of mind. She also said that their relationship was perhaps only on the surface.
Ben and Sara always follow each other on Instagram, which seems to indicate that they are at least cordial. However, it does not seem that a romantic meeting is in the cards for these two.
A teaser for the reunion has shown that Sara had more information on the Tiktok that hangs out, even by saying that knowing what she does now, a tiktok like that on him makes sense. She also seemed to accuse Ben of having slipped into the DMS of another actor, as well as the advice of a competitor from a previous season to make sure that he remained on good terms with Sara.
In an interview with People, Sara also said that she didn’t like Ben asked to stay together just after saying no to the altar. She revealed that she and Ben had discussed the response of her answer before the marriage, saying that they “were on the same wavelength, and he knew how to come in what I was going to say”.
“And so when he asked for this, I was not shocked that he wanted to do this or be always together after, but I was Shocked, he asked that in the altar, knowing the circumstances of we are here to say yes or no, “she said to people, adding that it seemed” disrespectful “of all the vanity of the show, where you are supposed to get married or go forever.
She also told people that she had continued her relationship with Ben in the show after the initial slowdowns because she expected her to deepen and grow after the pods. “”But that has never evolved, “said Sara.” It never really happened to this point. And this is what made me think, okay, in fact, maybe there is no depth at all. “”
It seems clear that Sara has completely closed the book on the relationship of Ben and Ben, but we will have to check the reunion of Sunday to find out if they decided to try to go out together.
The meeting of the eight “Love is Blind” season will be broadcast on Sunday at 9 p.m. on on Netflix.
