Ben Affleck was going about his business despite the unusual police activity going on in his neighborhood.
The movie star, 52, was seen in photos obtained by Page Six walking past a common light tactical military vehicle parked outside his residence in Brentwood, Los Angeles, on Thursday evening.
According to experts, this massive truck is designed to provide “protected, sustained, networked mobility of personnel and payloads across the full range of military operations.”
In the footage, a man in an army uniform stood directly in front of the large beige vehicle, near a stop sign.
Affleck – who wore a blue button-down and beige jacket – seemed unfazed by her presence.
A source exclusively confirms to Page Six that the military vehicle belongs to the National Guard.
“They are parked outside each evacuation point, not letting anyone through and his house is on the border – but outside – of one of the points,” the source said. “It has nothing to do with Ben.”
Representatives for Affleck could not immediately be reached for comment.
Law enforcement officers have been patrolling the Argo director’s neighborhood since the beginning of the week.
On Sunday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation launched an investigation due to “unauthorized drone activity,” an agency spokesperson previously told Page Six.
The representative warned: “Agents and our local partners may be visible throughout the area, including at various residences, for this reason. »
An inside source gave more details about why FBI agents searched for Affleck at the time, explaining that they were curious if the Armageddon star “had CCTV footage from a private drone which damaged a super scooper, one of the firefighting planes.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Office also told us they have additional personnel “assisting in a search for unauthorized drones” in the area.
Affleck doesn’t appear to have any legal issues himself since he hasn’t been charged with any crimes.
Two days later, however, there was an additional police presence at the “Air” star’s home for another reason.
A source exclusively told Page Six on Tuesday that local police were called because neighbors had private security roaming the neighborhood and preventing residents from entering their homes.
We’re told Affleck was “just talking to the police about this situation” in photos previously obtained by Page Six that showed him addressing authorities in a heated manner.
The “Pearl Harbor” star was finally able to enter her home, without any problem.
The FBI investigation and police activity comes just days after Affleck was forced to evacuate the rental home due to the still-raging Los Angeles fires that have caused severe destruction in the area .
He temporarily stayed at his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s house next door, where the “13 Going on 30” star lives with their three children: Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 12.
Affleck returned to his home in Brentwood on January 8, with a source telling us at the time that he was “still under evacuation orders, but he feels so grateful that his property is safe for the moment.”
The “Gone Girl” star has been living at this particular property since his split from Jennifer Lopez.
The exes settled their divorce earlier this month, but are still trying to offload their $68 million marital mansion.
