Bella Thorne remembers “one of the worst experiences of all time” in her acting life.
In response to Mickey Rourke’s recent homophobic comments to Jojo Siwa, Thorne brought her Instagram and X story (formerly Twitter) on Friday to share her traumatic experience by working with him on the set of a film, even if she did not name this one.
“This fucking guy. Gross,” wrote the actress in a photo of Rourke. “I had to work with this man – in a scene where I am on my knees and with my hands, a zip linked around my back. He is supposed to take a metal mill to my cap and instead, he used it on my genitals through my jeans.
THE Time is up The actress added: “Working with Mickey was one of the worst experiences of my life as an actress.”
In another article, she continued to detail this experience: “So many gross stories of things he made me pass on this film, including in his last scene to accelerate and reveal his engine so that he can cover me completely with dirt,” she wrote. “I guess he thought it was funny to humiliate me in front of the whole crew. Having to go to his trailer absolutely alone because he refused to speak to the director or producers-so I had to convince him to introduce himself and finish his work, because he shouted his trailer.”
Thorne explained how the film could not have been made without the actor, so even if she “did not want to do it”, she did “what was best for the film”.
Even if Thorne did not specify what the project was, they worked together on the horror film Girl, Released in 2020.
Rourke’s representatives published the following statement in response to Thorne’s claims: “We are aware of the deeply disturbing statements made by Bella Thorne concerning his experience on the set with Mr. Rourke during the production of a previous film. These allegations are extremely serious. Mr. Rourke categorically unintentional. Respect for all the parties involved and in the light of the severity of the complaints, Mr. Rourke will refrain from commenting more at that time.
The Hollywood Reporter contacted the representative of Thorne to comment.
