When Becky Lynch sat next to Lyra Valkyria backstage Monday Night Raw in Savannah, Georgia, this week, she was there to commiserate over their respective losses at King and Queen of the Ring. Sometimes we win but sometimes we lose and we learn. And you keep doing this, over and over again.
“Until it’s time to go,” she finished, looking thoughtfully into the distance.
This was ahead of a planned main event Women’s World Championship rematch, in a steel cage no less, with Liv Morgan, with rumors swirling about her future with WWE.
And then the match came, and once again Dominik Mysterio showed up to open the cage door so Lynch could escape and win the match. Judgment Day passed, furious with Mysterio for his actions. Meanwhile, Braun Strowman arrived, rushed Dom towards the cage door, and it bounced back into Becky’s face.
Morgan took advantage, crawling to the door and exiting to retain his championship.
