And when I did speak out, I was silenced and PUNISHED by this industry. Things need to change or I will tell ALL of my truths. The good, the bad and the ugly.”

When one fan wrote that “no one should be forgiven” for a 2015 incident in which Rexha was notoriously not initially credited for her contribution to David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, and Afrojack’s song “Hey Mama,” Rexha replied“Compared to all the other things you don’t know? This is child’s play.” Rexha said Her tweets were “not only out of anger,” but also out of sadness. “I’m sitting in my hotel room in London, crying my eyes out. I’ve felt hopeless for a very long time,” she wrote.

In addition to her own songs, Rexha has written for artists like Eminem and Selena Gomez and performed with Florida Georgia Line and G-Eazy. In June, she blasted G-Eazy, calling him an “ungrateful, stuck-up loser” and saying she could reveal all the “f***ing things you did and how you treated me after you gave you your one real hit.” She didn’t elaborate. On Tuesday, a follower asked Rexha what was stopping her from speaking out, to which she responded she says“THEY ARE PUNISHING YOU.”

When someone on Twitter suggested that Rexha’s recent tirade might just be part of a marketing ploy for her new single, “I’m the Drama,” which she released last week, she close the possibility, saying, “Marketing? I don’t have the budget for that. I’M FED UP.” On Wednesday, Rexha thanked his followers for checking in on him, writing: “I’m working on these issues and fighting for what I deserve.”
