Bear Fire evacuation orders have been lifted for the Golden Gate Canyon area

A fire broke out Saturday night in the Golden Gate Canyon area in the 4200 block of Bear Road.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office had issued a pre-evacuation notice for the area northwest of Bear Road and Golden Gate Canyon Road which has since been lifted.

“All evacuation and pre-evacuation orders have been lifted for the #BearFire. Golden Gate Fire and multiple fire agencies have done an excellent job creating a line around the fire. They continue to extinguish the fire, do not don’t expect him to grow up and will watch over the night and into tomorrow,” said the the sheriff’s office said in a tweet.

Colorado 93 from Golden to Crawford Gulch Road is closed, with no estimate of reopening.
