ADAMS TOWNSHIP — The aggressive Clinton-Massie defense held Graham in check and was good enough for a 46-41 victory Tuesday at Brian P. Mudd Court.
Ryan Dillion led Clinton-Massie (2-2 on the year) with 14 points, including 10 in the second half.
Graham’s Ben Sells (0-3) had a game-high 18 points.
The teams traded baskets early with Graham leading 4-3. But the Falcons regained the upper hand scoring eight of the next 12 points. Miles Theetge had two blocks and a steal, all in the final 90 seconds of the quarter. Sells hit a buzzer-beater to make Massie 11-8 after one.
Jerry Trout took the Falcons to 16-8 scoring the first five points of the second period. A three-pointer from Sells kept Graham close. The teams went to the locker rooms tied at 20-20.
Dillion started to heat up in the third, sparking an 8-0 run for a lead the Falcons wouldn’t give up. Massie took a 32-25 lead in the fourth quarter.
Clinton-Massie had plenty of opportunities from the free throw line in the fourth, shooting just enough (8 of 13) to hold on for the win.
