Welcome to the Bay Area News Group (Mercury News & East Bay Times) boys Survey of the athlete of the week.
For the whole university year, we will provide a list of candidates who have stood out in the previous week and allow you, the reader, to vote for the winner.
This week, we consider performances from March 31 to April 5.
The polls end at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Vote as many times as you wish so far without using robots or any other artificial voting method.
Votes by email and after 5 p.m. Wednesday are not counted.

The winners are announced every Friday online and in the printed edition of the sports sections of Mercury News and East Bay Times.
Candidates for future surveys of the week athlete can be nominated at Lycée@bayareewsgroup.com.
We accept appointments until 11 a.m. every Monday.
We also examine the statistics subject to Maxpreps by coaches / statisticians of the team.
Going through nominees:
Prince Babalola Buchango, St. Ignatius Track and Field: The junior won the hedges of 110 meters at Stanford Invitational with a time of 14.10.
Tommy Brown, Granada Baseball: Brown totaled four products produced to lead Granada to a 4-1 victory against Pittsburg. Granada (10-2) will participate in the National High School Invitational in North Carolina from Wednesday.
Sly cash, los altos baseball: Cash withdrew 10 and only granted one in 6 rounds to conduct Los Altos to a 1-0 victory against Palo Alto. Los Altos (8-4) welcomes Westmont on Saturday.
Aiden Chen, Saratoga Baseball: Chen had 6 for 7 with a double, two triple and 10 points produced through two games against Monta Vista and Macdonald. During Saratoga’s 16-0 victory against Macdonald, Chen withdrew 15 years and did not grant any safe in six rounds.
Cooper Hu, Albany Athère and Field: Hu took first place in the 100 -meter race at the East Bay Invitational, crossing the finish line in 11.17.
Kingston Hushyar, from the Lacrosse room: The first-year student scored three times and had a decisive pass to conduct the room for a 20-1 victory against San Ramon Valley. From room to 9-3 this season.
Miguel Long, Piedmont of athletics: Long, a senior, took first place in the triple jump to the Stanford Invitational, reaching a distance of 13.93 meters.
Very onyejekwe, menlo track and field: Onyejekwe, a recruit, has established school records in the obstacles of 300 and 110 meters at the Woodidside Sunshine Invitational. He took first place in the 300 hedges with a time of 39.4 and won the 110 in 15.22.
Jayden Peters, Lincoln-San Jose Baseball: Peters launched a full match, withdrawing five and granting only five strokes in Lincoln’s 9-1 victory against Live Oak. Lincoln (12-4) will welcome Gilroy on April 15.
James Voorhies, College Park Baseball: The senior launched a safe blow, withdrawing 14 and walking two strikers in the 5-0 victory from College Park against Burlingame. College Park (4-4) begins the match Tuesday against Campolindo on the road.
